Managed IT Operations
Our IT Team is at Your Service
From day-to-day expert consultation and support to full-blown IT project management, our team is ready to help you drive your business technology forward. Below are the most common ways we are helping clients solidify their IT and scale their operations.
Expert Support
We know that our true product isn't hardware, software, or solutions, but our people. Our technical team is comprised of Cloud, network, and information security experts with hearts of gold, ready to support your business needs. You can count on friendly and thorough assistance when you open a support ticket with us.
Application Management
While we cannot provide expertise on every possible line-of-business application, we can help to ensure that your staff have all of the applications they need to perform their job. And if a technical issue arises with one of those applications, we'll do our best to help interface with the application's vendor in order to arrive at a resolution.
Mac Friendly - iOS and Android too
Our team are computer experts, not just Windows experts. We believe our clients should be able to use whatever operating system they are most comfortable with - Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android. We provide support and security solutions for all of the above.
Employee Onboarding
We've heard a lot of feedback about onboarding hardships that our clients suffered in the past. Everything from "we had to buy the laptop ourselves then call IT support for two hours to have them provision it" to "it used to take three hours on the phone to get the device up and running." That's why we've sought to make onboarding as smooth as possible. We stock the hardware your business needs and ship devices ready-to-go; all the employee has to do is connect to the Internet and log in.
Employee Offboarding
Offboarding is an important part of IT operations to ensure doors that should be closed aren't left standing open. We not only handle account termination but can also assist with device revocation and inventorying as needed, until a new employee is hired and the device is reprovisioned. Remote reprovisioning is also available - so if another user is going to take their place immediately, the device does not need to be shipped here and there.
Microsoft Cloud Management
As a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider, we implement solutions for our clients built on the Microsoft Cloud, whether that is Microsoft 365, Azure, or other Cloud-based services that are a part of the Microsoft ecosystem. We use our expertise in the Microsoft Cloud to help our clients maximize their Microsoft spend and utilize the included features effectively and efficiently.
IT Project Management
Looking for more than day-to-day support? Our team can help with custom solutions and drive the project from day one to completion.
Constant Feedback
We ask for feedback after almost every completed request. We don't get negative feedback very often, but when we do, we promise to follow up immediately and provide a resolution.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Tridium a Microsoft partner?
Yes, we are a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider (partner). This allows us to resell licensing for any Microsoft Cloud product, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, etc. It also allows our team to administer your Microsoft tenant, with your permission, of course.
Can we purchase our Microsoft 365 licensing through Tridium?
Yes. We are a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider indirect reseller working with Pax8 as our Microsoft distributor. When you onboard a new user, we obtain the necessary licensing for you and provision the user without any additional work on your end. The licensing cost is included in your monthly billing from Tridium.
Can Tridium configure Microsoft 365 for my specific business needs?
Yes, Tridium can configure Microsoft 365 to fit your specific business needs. We assess your workflows, security requirements, and collaboration goals to customize the setup. This includes configuring email, document sharing, Teams channels, and permission settings tailored to your team. We also ensure integration with other business applications you use. Our expert setup helps improve productivity while keeping your data secure and compliant.
What type of laptops and desktops does Tridium provide?
We have a partnership with Lenovo, so all of the hardware we provide is currently Lenovo brand. We can acquire both new and certified refurbished devices, depending on your desired need and spend.
Does Tridium work with Google Workspace?
While we are very familiar with Google Workspace, we cannot provide the same level of service to our clients that Microsoft 365 allows. Therefore, we will currently only assist with Google Workspace in an ad hoc fashion, and cannot provide a comprehensive managed services package at this time.
Can Tridium migrate us from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365?
Yes. We have performed a number of Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations, and very often can complete the migration without any downtime.
Can I access everything from my phone?
Yes, you can access most business tools like Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, and Slack right from your phone using their mobile apps. This lets you check email, join meetings, chat, and collaborate on documents on the go.
Can Tridium secure our corporate data on personal mobile devices?
Yes. We are able to lock down your corporate data within the Microsoft mobile applications, so that the data cannot be downloaded, printed, or copy/pasted out of the managed Microsoft applications into the personal device's storage. Users are still able to save documents directly to their corporate OneDrive or SharePoint for viewing, editing, or sharing. We are also able to prevent corporate data from being backed up to personal Cloud backup services, such as iCloud. These controls are extremely flexible and can be customized to the client's desired security posture, but a basic level of control is recommended for all clients.
Does Tridium backup every device fully?
Not by default, but we can on request. Instead, we ask our clients to make use of the OneDrive included in their Microsoft 365 subscription and can even force OneDrive to be enabled at all times so that all files placed within the user's Documents or Desktop are synchronized. Files stored within OneDrive are backed up to the Microsoft Cloud, which we then backup to another immutable, non-Microsoft Cloud.
What happens if I accidentally delete a file?
If you accidentally delete a file in Microsoft 365 or similar cloud services, it usually goes to a “Recycle Bin” or “Trash” where you can restore it within a set time frame (generally 15-30 days). After that, the file may be permanently deleted, so timely recovery is important. Many services also offer version history, letting you recover previous versions of files if needed.
Is data stored in Microsoft 365 backed up?
Microsoft 365 stores your data across multiple secure data centers with built-in redundancy to protect against hardware failures. However, it’s not a traditional backup service, so accidental deletions or malicious changes may not be fully recoverable beyond certain retention periods. For comprehensive protection, many businesses use third-party backup solutions to regularly back up their Microsoft 365 data.
Can I control who sees what within Teams or SharePoint?
Yes, both Teams and SharePoint let you control who can see and access files or conversations through detailed permission settings. You can set access at the team, channel, or document level to ensure only authorized users can view or edit content. This helps protect sensitive information and keeps collaboration secure.
Will Tridium train my staff on how to actually use all the tools?
Yes, Tridium can provide comprehensive training for your staff to effectively use the Microsoft 365 applications. We tailor training sessions to match your team’s skill level and specific business processes. Our goal is to help employees become confident and efficient with email, Teams, SharePoint, and other applications. Tridium also offers ongoing support and resources to address questions as they arise. This ensures your team maximizes the value of the technology and improves overall productivity.
