AI does the searching and drafting. Your team reviews and decides.

AI that works with your business, not just on the Internet

A general AI chatbot only knows what you paste into it. Connected to your business apps, the same assistant can find the right file, read the whole email thread, and look up the invoice, then give you an answer or a first draft in seconds. Your team stays in charge: AI does the searching, summarizing, and drafting, and your people review and decide.

What everyday AI looks like

Real tasks your team can hand off on day one.

Microsoft 365

Find it, summarize it, draft it

  • Find the latest version of a proposal in SharePoint or OneDrive and summarize what changed
  • Catch up on a long Outlook thread or Teams conversation in a few sentences
  • Prepare for a meeting with the related emails, files, and notes pulled together
  • Draft replies, proposals, and policies in your company’s voice

QuickBooks Online

Answers about your numbers, in plain English

  • Ask which invoices are more than 60 days past due, and who owes the most
  • Compare this quarter’s profit and loss with last quarter and explain the difference
  • Spot unusual expenses or vendors worth a second look
  • Draft friendly payment reminders for your team to review and send

CRM and other tools

Less copy and paste between systems

  • Summarize a customer’s history from your CRM before a call
  • Turn meeting notes into follow-up tasks and emails
  • Build reports and spreadsheets from data you already have
  • Create checklists and how-to guides for repeat processes

Why Tridium recommends Claude

For most of our clients, Claude, from Anthropic, is the AI assistant we recommend:

  • Better first drafts. Claude writes clearly and naturally, and handles long contracts, reports, and spreadsheets well, so your team spends less time fixing its work.
  • Connects to the tools you already use. Claude connects to Microsoft 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams), QuickBooks Online, HubSpot, and more. Anthropic created the Model Context Protocol, the open standard many AI tools now use to connect to business apps.
  • Your data stays yours. On Claude's business plans, Anthropic does not train its models on your content by default, and admins control who can use which connectors.
  • Built with safety in mind. Anthropic focuses on AI safety and reliability, which matters when AI is working with your customer and financial information.

How the major AI assistants compare

Every business is different, and we support the platform that fits yours. Here is how we see the main options:

AI assistantWhere it fits
Claude (Anthropic)Our recommendation for most businesses. Excellent at writing, analysis, and working through long documents and spreadsheets. Connects to Microsoft 365, QuickBooks Online, HubSpot, and many other business apps. Business plans do not train on your data by default.
Microsoft 365 CopilotBuilt into Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, so it fits teams that live in Microsoft 365. Licensed per user as an add-on, which we can provide as a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider. Works well alongside Claude.
ChatGPT (OpenAI)A widely used general-purpose assistant with business plans available. We support it for clients who have already standardized on it.
Google GeminiBest suited to businesses that run on Google Workspace. Because we focus on Microsoft 365, it is less common among our clients.

What's included

Everything you need to put AI to work, from one partner who already knows your IT.

AI works with whatever your people can already access. We review your Microsoft 365 permissions, shared files, and data first, so AI starts on a clean, well-organized foundation.

Platform Selection & Licensing

The right AI for your team, without guesswork

You get a straight recommendation based on how your business works, and business-grade accounts set up for everyone who needs them. As a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider, we can also license Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Connector Setup

AI that knows your business

Your AI assistant can securely reach the apps where your work lives, such as Microsoft 365, QuickBooks Online, and your CRM, with access limited to what each person is allowed to see.

Use-Case Workshops & Training

Staff who actually use it, and use it well

Hands-on sessions built around your team’s real tasks, so people see value in the first week and know how to check AI’s work before relying on it.

Workflow Automation

Repeat work done the same way every time

Shared projects, instructions, and templates turn your best processes into repeatable AI workflows, from proposal drafts to month-end summaries.

Ongoing AI Management

AI that stays secure as your team changes

New hires get access on day one, departing employees lose it immediately, and connectors and settings are kept current, as part of your managed IT.

Secure from day one

Connecting AI to your email, files, and books means it has to be locked down like any other system that touches your data. Every AI for Everyday rollout includes single sign-on, permission cleanup, approved connectors only, and monitoring. See everything we do on our AI Security page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can AI actually do for a small business?
Everyday AI saves time on the work that fills most of the week: finding files, summarizing long email threads and meetings, drafting proposals and replies, answering questions about your financials, and preparing reports. When it is connected to your own tools, such as Microsoft 365 and QuickBooks Online, it works from your real business information instead of generic answers.
Which AI does Tridium recommend for businesses?
Tridium recommends Claude, made by Anthropic, for most businesses. It is excellent at writing, analysis, and long documents, connects to the business apps our clients already use, including Microsoft 365 and QuickBooks Online, and its business plans do not use your data to train AI models by default. We also support Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, and Google Gemini when they are a better fit.
Do we have to choose between Claude and Microsoft 365 Copilot?
No. Many businesses use both: Copilot inside Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, and Claude for deeper writing, analysis, and work that spans several apps. Microsoft has also added Anthropic’s Claude models to parts of Microsoft 365 Copilot. We help you decide which licenses each person needs, so you do not pay for tools nobody uses.
Can AI connect to QuickBooks Online?
Yes. Claude can connect to QuickBooks Online so you can ask questions about invoices, expenses, cash flow, and profit and loss in plain English. We recommend that a person reviews any AI-suggested change before it is made to your financial records. See how we keep connections like this safe on our AI Security page.
Will AI be able to see files employees should not see?
AI connected to Microsoft 365 sees what the signed-in person can already see, so files that are overshared today become easier to find. That is why every Tridium AI rollout starts with a permissions review and cleanup. Learn more about AI Security.
Is our company data used to train AI?
On business plans from the major AI vendors, including Claude’s Team and Enterprise plans, your content is not used to train their models by default. Free and personal accounts can have different terms, which is one reason we set your team up on business accounts managed by your company.
